Field Day (2023 & 2024)

I’m a big believer that opportunities to ‘play’ are essential at any age, including adulthood. With that in mind, I set out to organize a fun-filled day for 20 of my friends. Inspired by the excitement of childhood field days, I planned a variety of ‘events’, including relay races, puzzles (including some I wrote myself, included below), and a variety of games, all designed to encourage friendly competition and teamwork. After the success of the first year, I used feedback and insights to refine and improve the experience, hosted it again, and was even told it was some attendee’s ‘highlight of the summer’

The Tortured Poets Department Album Listening Party

As a music lover, I’ve always wanted to celebrate the release of new music and share the listening experience. Inspired by the distinct aesthetic and themed album rollout of Taylor Swift’s The Tortured Poets Department, I hosted a gathering with friends, encouraging everyone to dress the part. I also designed ‘official’ membership cards and created bingo boards to add interactive elements to the listening experience

Survivor: Quarantine Birthday Scavenger Hunt

Celebrating birthdays in 2020 was often a strange and somewhat muted experience. When my sister’s birthday arrived just two months into quarantine, I wanted to make it extra special despite being stuck at home. Knowing she was a lifelong Survivor fan, I sent her on a ‘reward challenge’ scavenger hunt with clues scattered throughout our house that concluded in a puzzle. While I had to work within constraints, I realized how even the smallest details—coffee-stained paper, backyard torches, and bandanas as buffs—could completely transform a space and bring a theme to life
